that Michael. When we got to our out of town destination we had guests over right away and Michael was shy of his aunties, and shy to his grandma, but not very shy at all with his gruncle Rob. He took him books and they read. When given the same choice from his Grandma he 'declined' the offer. I am starting to think that Rob needs to get some of his own grand babies...hahaha, his kids are too young for that aren't they? I guess he can just spoil my kids instead!
*gruncle* is like great uncle, but not so ancient sounding.

hmmm...

I suppose this won't be too exciting for some of you since, we've seen this before but, it is new. They are cute, in house coats, with matching toothbrushes, standing on a chair, brushing their teeth, at my dads place. That is it because I think I'm too cranky for anything else, and I'd like to try positive postings, instead of this being the complaints department.;)

Christmas...duh

So it's been a couple of days since the actual day but not being at home is taking it's toll on my body and my family. Our backs are sore, from foreign beds and crappy pillows Michael is on antibiotics for ear infection and eye thingy, and my MIL says he's been running a fever while I was in a nearby community getting hammered with my BIL et al.
However, we will go home in the morning, with a car load of toys, toys, toys. I think we all got what we asked for and the list really worked in my favor this year. We are looking forward to better beds and new and exciting things in the new year.
There will be pictures...one day after we are home I suppose.
A quick blog survey though... MAC or PC ? Everything we have is set for PC but it is inevitable that we get something new and soon.

Motherboard

Rumor has it my motherboard is crapping out. Yesterday, it died, it didn't think it had a harddrive. I am now on the laptop. So I type differently and I am no good at the whole mousey thingy. However in a few short sleeps I will be somewhere with a computer that I like and even a keyboard that I enjoy using.
B in the W of AB. This place is not the best to let me know that you happen to be in town. I have now found out late and am annoyed that there won't be time to get together unless you are available between 9pm and 6am tonight until tomorrow morning. And there is always the chance that you won't read this until too late also. I am busy. If you don't know how to use a phone I can give you basic (read: retarded monkeys can do it) instructions. I trust you have my number because I ain't posting it on the www. I have a phone, it's always on. Oh yeah I was in WR bored with my mother yesterday so that would have been your chance. We leave Sunday and return Thursday or Friday. Still I will be reachable by phone. If you are still here by then hopefully we can get together, for some party time.

Michael's fever broke this morning, let me explain, after 4 days of being near 101 with and without drugs, it's gone. We are going to the Dr. this afternoon anyway because the green crap coming out of his eyes is nasty.
I feel like we are the reason Motrin for babies exists. I know I bought the bottle last time he was sick, which according to my records is 2 weeks ago (from Monday when he started again). There is now only one dose left. It's a bit much.
Anyway... off to buy Motrin and go to the Dr., maybe even the Train store if G is good.

Tree Stories

This is us, this is our tree. It has been up sine Saturday. Michael is very good at not touching. I tapped his hand a couple of times the first night and he got the point - DON"T TOUCH-.
There was a minor (or at least it seems that way now) incident wile putting up the ornaments.
The ever-helpful Gabriel was given a box of red glass balls to put on the tree after already having done the more suitable plastic ornaments, I was at the top of the tree putting up all my sweet little angel girls who have been trapped in a box for 11 months, Chris was somewhere near Michael putting ornaments on. We hear a shattering kind of breaking, kind of smashing noise, I look down only to discover that Michael has bitten (tried to eat it I guess) one of the glass balls. Glass everywhere, in his mouth and he's crunching! Not swallowing yet but crunching! I picked up glass from the floor while Chris tries to get it out of his mouth, then we got the flashlight for some checking the very back. Gabriel tells people who see the tree that "you have to be careful or we will have a big emergency."
All is well now, and lie I said he doesn't touch it. Gabriel on the other hand is a whole can of worms I will get into another time.

Dear Santa,

You should recognize my name from your good girl list, and if you don't please be sure and check it twice.
This year I have been especially good and would like world peace for Christmas. Being a realist (and sometimes even pessimist) I will except peace in my home and the homes of my loved ones. As for 'tangible' things the list goes like this:

1. Hair Straightener with porcelain plates (they heat faster and work better) I would especially enjoy the one I saw on TV that is a hair dryer at the same time, however I know how hard it must be to make that one since 'they' charge $70 for it in the stores. I don't remember the name brand but I know it comes in a purple box.
2. Chocolate, that I don't have to share.
3. Pyrex measuring cups 2,4,6 or 8 cup size would be fantastic as my 4cup broke a few weeks ago.
4. A new slotted spoon for serving, since there was an error in loading the dishwasher and ours got melted.
5. Slippers, ladies size 9/10 something warm as I often have cold feet. No rubbery bits on the bottom though because I enjoy sliding on the floor. Something that is NOT open on the back, I really like my whole foot to be warm.
6. Towels, the HUGE 'blanket' kind, I don't like having my ass hang out when I'm trying to run through the house to my room for clothes. ( I know I already have a lovely housecoat/robe but I want BIG towels)
7. Cash, or gift cards for somewhere good and useful (like visa...do you make those? I think you should).
8. A calendar, Anne Gedes like the last 5 years would be awesome I love those babies...so sweet.

If I come up with anything else I will let you know via blog or e-mail, snail mail is too slow at this time of year.

Letter to Santa

He did write over my pencil marking for his name but I tried to write exactly what he was saying.
For those of you shopping for Mr.G, the Lightening McQueen has been 'taken care of'. He would still very much like anything on the list and shown in the pictures below.
We cut apart a toys r us catalogue and had him glue images of what he might like to get. He got carried away...he now thinks Santa might be confused with too many things.
I will post my list soon, so will Michael.

I am sitting here scrambling for a babysitter and I am reading the caller ID to come up with people to ask and I am reading blogs thinking about how I've already read all this and then I realized it's not like I've said anything new lately either so what I have to say is I'm busy and who will babysit so I can go to the meeting tonight?

It's snowing more so just get over it! Can I get a babysitter for tonight so that I can got to the meeting that was postponed 2 weeks ago due to power outage? Nope, y'all seem to be afraid of the snow.

Kathy, you mentioned something some weeks ago but we have both been quite busy so I haven't heard from you. Gingerbread...Train

This is the kit that we bought at the store for just under $10.
This is what we were able to do with the kit and some leftover Halloween candy.
This was all started by being at Jennifer's and got Gabriel hooked on eating icing. Naturally I have the desire to go out a buy one that I can do alone and make it just right but this one screams 'I did it all by myself!' by Gabriel and Chris.
