Phone?

It seems interesting to me that I have this free time when I she only my phone to blog with. I wonder how bad my facebooking would be if I could do that from here too. Since its already pretty bad I think its probably better this way, I know it'll change when I get my next phone though. Where was I going with this? I don't know. Just bored wasting time until kindergarten pick up because there is no point going home. Could I be more productive and email people that I have businesses with? Yes, but this seems to me my level of mindlessness. lol

Aches

I have aches. Today my aching is not physical. Today I am aching to see my 2 youngest nephews. I heard Liam on the phone yesterday and it made me want to see his cute little face so badly and want to get to know this little guy. Today it it my sweet nephew Justin's 3rd birthday and I miss him so much too, he doesn't even live that far away (The other K town).
I am aching for my nephews today.

What's in my bag

Recently my cousin Miranda posted about what's in her bag and I put my bag contents in the comments. However I now realize that I lied... I have way more than that in my bag. I don't have a cool picture like hers but I feel like sharing.
IPod
Superstore receipt
Green sharpie
Shout wipe
Strawberry lip smackers
First aid kit
Wallet
Ipod headphones
Black pen
Purple pen
Hair elastic
Small Tupperware with lactaid for Michael
Mint dental floss
Bank machine receipt showing my pathetic balance
3.86 in coins
And a spare battery for my phone.
Maybe next time I'll tell you what's in my huge wallet or tiny first aid kit.

I had some words, they didn't go with the picture, and the picture is better anyhow.

Michael

Pictures will have to come in another post since they are still on the camera and as you all know I am too lazy to put them on the computer.
Michael says the cutest stuff example:
"I made a new friend at school today and I want him to come to my birthday party"
"OK buddy, what's his name?"
"I don't know"
"Well what does he look like?"
"He has golden hair and blue eyes like me"
I love this 'golden hair'. In a class of 20 kids there are 12 boys, I know all but 3, I know 3 for sure do NOT fit into the golden hair category and so here's the math of it...it could be anybody! So funny. We did eventually figure it out but not in time for a party invite.
I will aim to post about his birthday and party day in a separate post with pictures.

Every time

  • I open this page I don't remember what I was going to post
  • I think about you it upsets me
  • I see your face I think about how strong you are
  • I go to the school I am 'at work'
  • I feel sorry for you, then remember you are the one who keeps yourself that way
  • There is big stuff going on it's to big to blog about
  • I watch my boys play together I see how siblings should be and hope that they keep it up as adults
  • I get asked I have to bite my tongue not to blurt out the unpleasant truth
  • I wonder if I could possibly be more cryptic...Every time.

Nervous

I am feeling a bit nervous about tonight's PAC meeting. Do I have reason to be? Not really. Michael is asleep in my bed right now because he is sick. :( I don't want to leave him with a sitter (if she can come) for even an hour tonight. Gabriel is taking the bus home today for the 4Th time this school year and so far I haven't gotten over the worried feeling that comes in the 12 minutes between when the bus leaves the school and arrives at his stop...did he make it, is it coming etc. type thoughts. Today because of his sick brother I don't know what to do...do I leave the sleeping not yet 5 year old to run down the 2 blocks and discover my safely arrived 7 year old or do I stay at home and old my breath for an extra 10 minutes waiting for him to make the walk on his own. The 2 way radios are at a friends house and so I can't even leave him with one and me take the other. AAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhggggggggggggg I don't know what to do; and which thing will most meet my husbands approval, me thinks leaving a 5 year old at home is not something he would like. The neighbour friend is away and can't help me out.
Tonight's meeting I am nervous about all the things people have told me about the principal and how she is at these things, how I don't want that to cloud my own forming personal opinion. The new Chairperson...does she know what she's doing and why hasn't she replied to my email. The former chairperson and her negativeness of last week which I haven't had a chance to talk to her about. Is everything on the Agenda because it's awfully full...does everybody really want to discuss everything? We will be there all night. Will Mr. chair from the year before be there raising his voice again? will he be helpful and will it be received? Since nobody gets along with him except me.
Where will I find the money to pay the sitter if she comes here. I wish this weren't the first meeting then I could skip it.

School

It is with great pleasure that I announce to you all that my kids are in school. hahaha.
Gabriel has the same teacher as last year and since I love her to pieces (and he isn't in a split this year) this is a WONDERFUL thing. Grade 2 will be great.
Michael has a delightful teacher whom is always smiling and laughs comfortably and often. A Kindergarten Dream really.
We are settling into our new responsibilities and routines well. Already this has been a busy month and there are 2 more weeks of soccer.
Michael has a runny nose that started Monday. Hate me if you must, but I have been sending him to school regardless.
R and I are taking turns on Tuesdays and Thursdays with each others children which means I had all of Thursday (9-230) to myself. On Tuesday her son came here after K. The boys play well together and are on the same soccer team. R said today how much of a pleasure it was to have Michael today, he was sweet and polite and called her son out on the unfair distribution of knights for their game. I am sure that with time the boys will become so comfortable with the others houses and mothers that the polite and delight will wear off but for now I love it. I love R, she is an amazing friend.
I have been busy at the school level also, we had a meet the teacher BBQ and are already fundraising. We will have an actual PAC meeting on Monday, I have made the agenda and it is packed...I sure hope that this years chair knows what to do more than the last. I mean no disrespect to her, she stepped up at a very difficult time and I just don't think she knew what she was getting into and didn't really have the cohones to run the ship tight. She runs her house quite tight though. I suppose it's just her personality. I admire her, and her family values (which incidentally are posted on the wall in the powder room of her house). I plan to have a weekend at the local ski resort with her and the kids in October while her husband is on call and mine is at work. She is the complainer of my current fb status.
A note on complaints... I complain frequently. I know it. As a friend said and I agree enough to put it up here..."Then I think of how privileged my life is, even at the worst of moments... It reminds me to be grateful."
Today's top 3 grateful 1. kids well enough to go to school 2. play dates that mean I get a break 3. Groceries in the fridge (now let's EAT!)
P.S. I was going to add the 'first day pictures but they are still on the camera so, not tonight!

whoops

I was going to blog but then it I sent a long email and it suddenly became 10pm, and I should get to bed.

Saturday, September 04, 2010

I have so many little thoughts running around in my head right now about blogs that I should blog. But I am enjoying my moments and therefore not blogging and complaining. Make sense. Life is good. It is honestly great, it will be better in 3 short sleeps when Gabriel goes off to school.
I want to do a nice complete post about my camping anniversary so I going to try and leave that out of this while I say quickly that:
  • Gabriel is not patient. With anything, especially Michael and I.
  • Michael plays happily peacefully all alone with intense imagination for extended periods of time, until Gabriel comes along
  • I thought I was due for a new phone but was sadly disappointed when I got to the store and was told that maybe in 6 months I could get something better/newer.
  • My kitchen is immaculate, OCD kicked into overdrive and I washed the floors and walls and oven and fridge and windows...the whole shebang...thing is now the dinning room looks atrocious in comparison
  • Those PAC statements that I wanted to have done in July got done tonight
  • I played Lego with the kids for about 2 hours a day for the days leading up to going away and since our return...by playing I mean I organize, sort and find pieces while they build and play (again high levels of OCD in action)
  • The kids closet and dresser is done also...if it doesn't fit or is too shabby for school it isn't there. ha! I did that while they were out.
  • There were 8 loads of laundry upon our return from camping and all but one got done right away. phew that was a lot
  • A good chance I will sit on my ass and do nothing tomorrow since after writing all this out I realize I am overdoing it.

Perfect for me
