Where to begin???
Let me start off by saying that I have been planning posts and never getting to them for some time now and this one is just the easiest for em to spit out now that I do have time. This one is not about what is going on that I can't talk about.
One week ago today my mother was here (surprise surprise) and her phone rang, and she missed it (surprise surprise). After she checked the caller ID she decided to use the land line here to return the call. It was Mrs. L. ; She is a lady that does recruiting fro market research companies for focus groups and other types of paid surveys. I have no idea how she got this job or how many people she must know in order to be effective at 'work'. She was looking for someone to do a focus group, mom didn't fit the age requirement and decided to pass the phone to me.
The last time I 'worked' for Mrs.L. Gabriel couldn't have been more than a few months old and it was a survey about Captain Morgans Spiced Rum, I was paid about $30/$50, if I recall correctly.
Upon speaking to Mrs.L. it became apparent that I was exactly who 'they' were looking for, for Monday evening in Downtown for $75 for 2 hours of my time. I said yes and made the arrangements with Chris and mother to look after the kids. Mrs. L told me there would be a bit of home-work but that it could be worth an additional $25 if it was done well.
I did the homework on Sunday night. I went to town on Monday. I sat in a room with 5 other ladies and one facilitator and we talked about cheese. Specifically what it means to me and how I feel about it. Which is what my homework was... a collage of my feelings/thoughts about cheese.
Now if you know me at all you will know that I love cheese, there really isn't anything that cheese can do wrong in this world. I love all cheeses and I think they love me. If I were on your desert island practicality aside with only 2 things they would be cheese and...(wine?)
I had a great time. I won the $25. I did my homework myself... which is the part I am most proud of....
Guess how cheese makes me feel and what it means to me? I think it's perfectly clear.
