I've been meaning to blog, really I have.
Yes, Kathy I am still whelmed.
Marni, I wrote you a letter, the old fashioned kind and it is in the mail.
Pictures I have are on the camera and I don't think I am going to be doing anything about that anytime soon.
I likely have tons to update you on but today isn't going the way I imagined it (with tons of free time from children and husbands) so doesn't look like blogging more than this empty post is going to happen. In case you are wondering I am fine. I am working on staying fine, I am working on me (not doing a great job yet) so maybe that's why I am not blogging.
I write what I want, so look out! If you don't like what you are reading there should be a red X in the top right of your screen just click on it.

whelmed
I know you can be overwhelmed so you can probably be underwhelmed but can you ever just be whelmed?

I can't believe
- that's what you said
- that I let it upset me
- that your choice is to be so helpless
- that your children will suffer from you for the rest of their lives
- that you said I used to be like that
- in your lack of respect for others
- that if I said anything I would be the bad guy
I am blacked out by you.
This means that I am in such disbelief about you that I am blinded, just shy of tongue tied about it.
(this is about more than one person)

Toothloss, the whole story
Once upon a time Gabriel lost his tooth, he didn't loose it rather, it fell out or was pried. In any case the tooth was put underhis pillow to be discovered by the toooth fairy in exchange for money. A dollar was put in the tooths place, discovered in the morning and life was grand. That evening he was goofing around and after choking for a few seconds swallowed the large coin.
We rushed to the hospital where he had an xray that showed that it was in his belly, they said if he doesn't poop it out in 2 days come back and we'll xray again. 4 days later (because we didn't see the harm in waiting and didn't want to spend Christmas eve in the hosp) he had another xray showing that the coin was still in him. This time the Doc (same as previous day) said it looked like it was in his large Intestine, shouldn't be much longer, come back in 2 days if it doesn't come out. Upon return home from an overnight there was a message from the radiologist saying nothing to worry about but, come back and get a fresh exray. By the time we got the message it had essentially been the 2 days. Took him back for another xray which showed that in fact it had not been in the intestine at all it was still in the same place in his tummy. After much consultation with a gastro-enterologist and a surgeon du jour (who incedentally said they weren't qualified or comfortable in their expertise to opperate on him for it...which I am sure glad to hear as opposed to 'hmm gee lady I dunno never done that before but let this be the first on your kiddo') at the hospital they decided to call Childrens hospital who told them 'we don't even bother looking at xrays, just leave it unless he's in pain'.
A few days later he pooped out the coin and was overheard on the phone saying to his grandma 'It didn't even hurt at all, just like loosing the tooth'
