3 blogs today

This one is just to say that I probably won't blog all week but I have done 3 today and I hope that can keep you all at bay.
This picture is also a mothers day thing and I think it's good considering I had just been woken up with my breakfast in bed.

Mothers Day things

These items I will also be keeping forever because they melt my tired heart with the love of my nearly 3 year old...And yes the card made me cry. The hat isn't my favorite but the plant in a pot that he decorated and the card are more than special to me.
The card reads
"Sometimes you get discouraged because I seem so small
And always leave my fingerprints on the furniture and walls
But everyday I'm growing up and soon I'll be so tall
That all those little handprints will be difficult to recall
So here's a current handprint that you can put away
You'll know just how my fingers looked
This year for Mothers Day.
And in paint is his handprint on the inside.

Peter

He is not a potato. He is a family member.
Gabriel made him at school a few weeks ago and then he grew 'hair' long enough to need a trim. Why peter? I don't know. We only know one Peter other than this one and it's funny to me that my son has named this guy after him. The Peter we know is a friend of Chris' from work, Gabriel has met him 3 times tops.
Anyway he has button eyes and is made from some dirt in a stocking and some grass seed. Just add water and the love of a nearly 3 year old. This 'art project' I think I will keep until he passes away with the first frost of his life or forever, if I can. He was made with love and will survive on love and water alone.
This post is for Peter.

P.S.

Start down 3 posts from this one, I'm not advanced enough to put them in backwards order for easy reading it's too tricky for night time blogging. Does Michael look like me? I mean as babies? How about Gabriel? Maybe now that I am getting adventurous with scanning I'll put some of Chris up for comparison purposes....One day.
It's late so Good Night.

Innocence...

Grade 5. Nice hair only the 1/2 mile high version I guess. More product in my hair than I've used since and definitely more backcombing...what was up with that?

I hope you've all enjoyed the birthday tribute to myself and the fabulous pictures!

Birthday Pt. 2

I think this was my 5th Birthday...maybe 4 I don't really remember...it was a long time ago. Note how excited I am at the cake coming my way. Note my crown, dress, SMILE. I am so happy this picture makes me smile. Childhood must be good!

My Birthday

So I think this is day I was born...I don't exactly remember it was a long time ago. It might be the day after.

Me and my Mikey!!!

He sits. All on his own quite steadily. For a few days now. I think it must nice to have a position that isn't horizontal. He can see the world just that much better. YAY.

Side Bar

Ok so my side bar is still way down at the bottom but I know it will come back up one day (soon?). Since I know we don't all scroll down to check it all the time I would like to say 'GO DOWN' and check out Sue's blog. She's new at it but I know she'll be great once she gets going. I know I could get her link within this post but I'm not that adventurous tonight since I just had to put her on my links list. phewph what a lot of work.

Laughing

Michael laughs. There's a bit of red eye here but you can see the laughing. He thinks his brother is hilarious. So do I...Today.
As for other news...? Mother's day was nice. Nothing spectacular but nice and mellow. We went to White Rock beach and had a picnic. It was a smidge windy but I was ok. My mom, Chris' mom, Chris, me and the boys.
Maybe something more spectacular to write about later...

Nearly 3...

I thought about calling this post 'Moody 3' or 'Cranky 3' or '3 going on 13' or 'Rotten 3' or 'Independent 3' So far I am going with Nearly 3.
Gabriel is Nearly 3.
Anybody out there who has had a 3 year old should know what's coming and please there is a question at the end of this and I need answers. Apparently being almost 3 is tough. We are having some real issues like "you do it", "NO I DO IT!". He is moodier than usual and frankly it's beginning to take it's toll on me. Happy to completely FREAKING OUT in 0.01 seconds. I ask what's wrong he cries, yells, screams more for me to go away and stop bugging him, cries at me even more when I get up to walk away like he has asked. Behavior unbecoming of a gentleman: He never used to do these things and yet... He is yelling at me NO STOP and he doesn't eat like he used to and he took markers out and coloured in a book ( a dollar store sudoku puzzle book) but a book nonetheless.
This may sound like nothing to those of you with terrors but I have a good kid I just can't seem to find him lately. Is it because he's 3 (almost) and leaving my aura? Is it because of those kids at preschool? (which are all really good too in their own place and time). Is this just growing up? Is this the way I'm loosing my babe? So the real question that I want answered is this:
How do I keep from wringing his sweet soft neck? No no no what I meant to say was: How do I support his growth and not freak out back at him because he's making me mental? How do I find the strength to not use the whining tone at him when he uses it at me? How do I not mock him?
I know that mocking crying and whining is a waste and it hurts them eventually because you aren't respecting them. Not to mention lowering yourself to the level of a 3 year old. Someone needs to be the parent here.
How do I keep up with respecting him and supporting him when he's jus plain CRAZY?
I know there are a lot more questions in this blog than I was planning I just can't seem to articulate the issues. If you've been here and survived and your child has survived and still loves you then please ENLIGHTEN ME.
Oh yeah, I thought I was done and then I read over what I had written and I remembered that I also need to ask (rhetorically) how do I get him to stop asking me WHY about everything? I know, 'because I said so' and 'because that's how it is', but then what does he learn from that?

Taa Daa

hahaha check it out I finally did it there is a picture of me! Chris is there too but that's because it makes more sense that way.
Tired
Good Night

So annoying....

When you put something on your blog and because of the formatting (which I don't even begin to understand) there isn't quite room for all the other things that are normally there. So it's dumb but my links and stuff are way at the bottom after all my posts. It will rectify itself after a few more posts (I think). But annoying all them same. If I knew anything about how to read html I could probably fix it myself. Is it worth learning yet another language? It's a rhetorical question please don't answer I know, it probably is.

Only 10 Days!!!

In case you forgot there are only 10 days until my birthday (and Christophers birthday and mine and Christopher's 9 years together anniversary).
I know that once you hit a certain age you are just getting older and birthdays don't really mean much anymore but I don't feel like I'm turning that age yet so bring on the cake, cards, and presents!!!
I want to be wished happy birthday from everyone, that's why you are getting a warning. Don't do it now do it in 10 days OK?
P.S. I accept cash gifts and diamonds. hahaha. lol.
Also P.S. I am really still working on that whole picture for my profile thing it's just taking a while (to not look disastrous).

Have a nice Day :)

Well, it's a bit early for this but I didn't really see what else to do since I am up. Michael woke up about 25 minutes ago and I have a strict rule about anything happening before 5am, so I'm up, and he's back down. I'm going for a shower after this and then I have another busy day with 4 small children (one of which I am having some growing pains with as he is 3, not mine, pooping in his pants and talking in a baby voice when I know he can do better). I just need to remember that this is how he is and he probably won't change 2 days a week just for me. Gabriel absolutely NEVER pooped in his pants once he was toilet trained (ok maybe once ...but he was sick). There wasn't even an 'oops' from this kid who 'poops'. I'm just frustrated, if only all kids could be as good with me as my kids. That sounds silly, but I know what I mean.
Other things that might be new? Not much.... Oh yeah I was asked to update you all on Chris' kidneys so here it is....... He's OK and stone free for now. They will be looking into why he gets them and all that kind of stuff soon. Busy season is technically over but that doesn't make him any less busy. He has a herniated disk in his lower back (L5S1), which is causing alot of pain that will probably never go away completely. It's 5:30 and I have to go shower, make dinner, feed kids, pack a bag, and go by 7am so that's all for now. Have a nice day...I hope to.

Soup Anyone?

So the other day...maybe even a month ago? Gabriel made this 'soup'. It started with some goldfishes in a cup with his other crackers, add an egg beater (the kind where you turn a handle), then he said 'mom I need a pot' I said 'ok sure they're in the cupboard', he picked the smallest one.
Now let me tell you that obviously I was busy making dinner, looking after Michael and welcoming Chris home from work and this is what we found, on the stove no less! Full of water, actually overflowing into the element. It really was the sweetest thing, I was in a good enough mood to accept it and smile and thank him for making something to eat. I took a picture thinking 'I'll blog this later'. Then I flushed it.
Is it any prettier than the meatloaf? Probably only slightly, if at all.
